We're located in Naromoru, 1km off the Nanyuki highway. We offer boutique modern style rooms, a self-contained cottage, and an on-site café, for solo travellers, couples, families, and groups or Mt Kenya climbers and hiker enthusiasts. We're solar powered with no power outages, have fast Starlink WiFi all set on a quiet property with stunning Mt Kenya views when she's not hiding.

A well-appointed twin room with garden views and direct access to the outdoor grounds. Comfortable for solo travellers and couples, with a calm, natural setting. En-suite bathroom, quality linens, and that quiet you came for. Also ideal for hikers looking for a no-frills, cosy room as a base for their ascents and early departures.
Our most popular room. A spacious deluxe room with a private balcony overlooking the property, one of the best seats in the house for Mt Kenya views on a clear morning. Ideal for couples and solo travellers who want a bit more space and that balcony moment with their morning coffee.
Self-Catering Units
A private, elevated loft unit with its own self-catering kitchen, living space, and bedroom. Features a cosy fireplace — perfect for cool Mt Kenya evenings. Up to 3 adults. Ideal for those who want their own space, privacy, and the freedom to come and go. Starlink WiFi, solar power, and free parking included. Guests may also order à la carte from the café. Full breakfast available at Ksh 1,200 per adult.

Notes & Policies
An 8–13km trek through forest and history, with the option to drive up to the waterfall section. A local guide will meet you at the start point.
In partnership with Paiskeli, explore the Naromoru area on electric bikes. Rides can depart from Idan as your start point, or you can join group rides departing from Nanyuki. A guide is optional and recommended for first-timers.
In partnership with a local neighbour, horse rides are available approximately 10 minutes from Idan. A great way to explore the Naromoru landscape at a slower pace.

We're located 19km from the Naromoru gate into Mt Kenya National Park, and approximately 1 hour from Sirimon gate, giving you flexibility on your chosen route. Whether you're going for the summit or a day hike into the mountain, we can help coordinate local cab transfers and connect you with registered guides for whichever route you choose.
Prices for guided activities, park entry, e-bike hire, and horse riding are estimates and subject to change. Always confirm current rates with the entrance gate, your guide, or the activity provider directly before your visit.
